Peace

I was reading a status on a page of what a sister really wants. In the end it really doesn't matter what a woman believes thinks she wants, if she isn't thinking spiritually. We have this notion that we are meant or born to be able to do everything. Independent woman. Alrighty then. We have accepted this women's lib shit from 50-60 years ago and feel we can do it alone. We can. If we have to. We didn't get pregnant alone. But we, some not all, want to raise the children, alone. Our mamas did it, so we should. Bull to the shit. There is a reason women were created to desire a man. (And some women even learned to turn that natural desire off. Wow). There is a reason we have what complements a man. What we as women also need is to learn peace. Because unless we learn to have peace within ourselves, in our homes, we will never have anyone who is gonna want to be around us for long periods of time. This is why, for a lot in a relationship, men step out. They find peace over some female we feel isn't as cute, isn't as skinny or isn't as whatever as we think we are. She also isn't as mouthy, isn't as loud, isn't as foul, isn't as manipulative, isn't as anything. So, we can think we all that and a bag of crunchy chips, but if he ain't getting peace around you, best believe he's getting his peace (and piece) somewhere else.   

We all need peace just like we need sleep. To think, to rebuild damaged cells, to rejuvenate as we get ready for the next day. 

Make your home your heaven and you won't be opening the door for the devil (std's) to walk all up in your house (coochie).
