Dependance

Sometimes the most valued lessons you will learn in life as you grow older are the ones you had to learn on your own. It's not that people have abandoned you, but that they had to back up a bit to allow you to become/blossom into you, with your own ways. There is a huge difference in being a daughter/son of, than being a child off. A child is always needing. Not able to adapt and survive without constant help. A child cant/wont venture out on their own. A son/daughter is brave enough to step out, even if they fall. And they may fall many many times.

I would hope we all strive to become sons/daughters of and not place any unnecessary burden on anyone. It's expensive to survive. Even more when you are weighed down by needy adults who do nothing to help ease that burden.
