Love At First Sight?

Someone on Google + asked if love at first sight was real?  Here is my response:

I believe in love at first sight. There is a shine, a true value/worth that a woman may see in a man, whether he sees it in himself or not.  Maybe its his works, his compassion for others, his dedication, his fight for justice, his passion for advancement, or his love for his family. A person may experience _love_ for another and never actually formally meet them. Only love them for what they see.  Their great works.

I don't believe in romantic love at first sight.  I have never loved someone simply on how they look.  Sure, I appreciate a man who looks good, smells good, sexy voice, but what's inside, the personality can spoil what I see on the outside. I think a romantic love is something one has to grow into, long after the relationship has begun.  Even after marriage. And this is why so many people are unhappy. They confuse the lust of the flesh, which is a necessary tool for reproduction and procreation, with love.
