(Intro) Is history repeating itself?
(Verse 1) Right now we are in the time of Noah. The news is being told, in the back part of the paper, or on financial sites some don't read. The ship is rocking back and forth. The waves of debt are reaching dangerous levels. Either we have a plan for when the flood comes, or a lot of us will drown in a sea of financial despair.
(The Chorus) The Great Depression, some think, was caused by crash of the stock market, interruption in trade, and huge disruption in consumer buying. A lot of people were afraid to spend money. Jobs decreased. More were unemployed, which led to nationwide poverty. A vicious cycle: no want, no need.
(Verse 2) Are you thinking Greece's financial issues don't effect America? But it does. Greece trades with European Union, who trades with Japan and China, to name a few. America owes a lot of money to China and Japan. Like $1.22xx trillion. Each! And EU is also struggling financially. So we will see more commercials trying to get us to spend money on something we probably don't need. We learned from history that if we don't spend now, we could probably be laid off tomorrow.
(Repeat Chorus)
(Outro) Supply will decrease if there is no demand.
