Free will, think about it

Most wild pack animals can all participate in the society they are in. You won't see an elephant or zebra out grazing alone, but all together. Only in this society we live in, this humanity, do we have the will to manipulate and harm (physically and mentally) others in our society. You don't see grown bears trolling for children. You don't see the so called religious giraffes checking out the latest porn sites in secret with their family in the other room.

Something is totally wrong when you watch the evening news and more than half of what is reported is of rape and murder. Something is wrong when the poor afford drugs (that only the rich can provide) more often than any other segment of the population. Something is totally wrong when someone can go into a neighborhood filled with children and shoot thru apartment buildings, playgrounds and churches not caring who they hit. Something's fucked when thugs and sexual deviants are glorified more often in entertainment than those who want to better the lives of others by their selfless acts of kindness.

As a whole, the human race is mentally ill. We know what the ultimate consequences of our behavior could be, but some of us think only we possess the skills to get away with it. As if our actions are the currency that buys the winning "I got away with it" lottery ticket.

Only until we learn to appreciate others for more than sexual acts, monetary favors or control gained of over many, will we ever be able to succeed as a cohesive successful community. Only until we cure our mental illness before the sperm meets egg can we achieve the ultimate of ultimates.

Yep, the human race. Above all other species because we can find a billion ways to kill each other.
